220 German Travel Agents Get Better Acquainted with Curaçao’s Tourism Product

October 22, 2019

WILLEMSTAD – October 21, 2019– The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), together with Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), recently organized a 4-day roadshow in Germany to get travel agents in that country better acquainted with all that Curaçao has to offer and make sure they are up-to-date on the airlift options offered by Condor. The roadshow made stops in Zurich in Switzerland and Nuremberg, Dresden and Potsdam in Germany. Hospitality-industry partners also went along to provide the agents with information on their respective hotels. This year’s roadshow was themed: “Curaçao goes Cinema.”

In total, 220 travel agents were given up-to-date information on the island of Curaçao, which should help them in selling our destination in the coming season. A general introduction of our island’s diversity, presented by the CTB, was followed by a number of interviews with hotel and airline partners—all this in a cinema-themed setting. All in attendance got popcorn in a special, Curaçao-branded bag. The roadshow also included a market place where those present could get information and ask about the island’s product. CAP also introduced their VR goggles with 360-degree videos of Curaçao. Additionally, Condor and KLM made a number of tickets to Curaçao available. The package provided by KLM also included free stays at Papagayo Beach Hotel and at Sunscape Curaçao Resort & Casino.

The CTB and CAP wish to thank Acoya Curaçao Resort, Villas & Spa, AMResorts, Avila Beach Hotel, Condor, Corendon Hotels & Resorts, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Lions Dive Beach Resort, Oasis Coral Estate Beach Dive & Wellness Resort, Papagayo Beach Hotel & Resort, Renaissance Curaçao Resort & Casino, Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort Curaçao for their valued collaboration.
