Curaçao’s Tourism Product Present at German Fair
WILLEMSTAD – April 12, 2019 – A team, consisting of representatives of the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP) and the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA), as well as private-sector partners, recently travelled to the Messe Berlin exhibition grounds in Germany to participate in the Internationale Tourismus Börse’ (ITB) 2019. Curaçao’s aim in participating was mainly to build stronger business ties and to promote the island. The ITB, now in its 53rd edition, is one of the foremost tourism business fairs. This year’s fair attracted over 113,000 visitors—a 3-percent increase compared to last year.
The ITB is a 5-day fair open to the press, the business sector and the public. The first three days focused exclusively on the press and the business sector, while the last two were open to the public. Once more, the Curaçao booth managed to draw a large crowd looking for information on the island’s tourism product and options for lodging. On the first day, the CTB organized its popular Networking & Trade Cocktail. The press, business partners and other private-sector partners from Curaçao came together at this social event to get acquainted and strengthen their business ties.
Our thanks go to the private-sector partners that traveled with the Curaçao team: Acoya Curaçao Resort, Villas & Spa, Avila Beach Hotel, Dolphin Suites Curaçao, Hilton Hotel, Lions Dive Beach Resort, Kurá Hulanda Resorts, Livingstone Jan Thiel Resort, Morena Eco Resort Curaçao, OasisCoral Estate Beach, Dive & Wellness Resort, Papagayo Beach Resort, Pietermaai Boutique Hotel, Renaissance Curaçao Resort & Casino and Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort.
