Social Media and Content Marketing Workshop for the private sector

WILLEMSTAD – June 20, 2016 – Recently the Curaçao Tourist Board organized a Social Media and Content Marketing Workshop for the private sector partners. The overall objective of the workshop was to increase the knowledge of the importance of online marketing possibilities for the local tourism and hospitality sector. This will be beneficially for both the industry partners and for the local economy. The attendees to the workshop included: hotels, restaurants, airlines, attractions, public sector partners and other tourism related entities representatives who are active in the tourism industry and on social media. Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Eugene Rhuggenaath officially opened the workshop.

The attendees received actionable strategic tools which they can translate into daily use. The workshop consisted of 3 learning objectives for the participants: 1) Providing attendees a head start on exploring and solidifying their social and content strategies, 2) Helping partner organizations ensure they are using the best social channels for the proper objectives, 3) Using attendees’ social and content marketing examples to help reinforce current strong practices and identify new opportunities.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Mike Brown, Founder of Brainzooming Group.The Brainzooming Group, is a company focused on helping clients create strategic impact and outstanding results. Mr. Brown is a regular contributor to The Social Media Monthly magazine, and a daily blogger on strategy, creativity, innovation, and social business. Mr. Brown has spoken and consulted with brands such as Sprint, Johnson & Johnson, Trane, Bayer, the U.S. Government and many more.

The workshop was very interactive and filled with some great insights into the world of social media.
