Training to further enhance the skills of the tourism industry

WILLEMSTAD – June 12, 2019 – In an effort to continuously improve the product and service delivery to our visitors, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) is conducting from June 12 to 14, a 3-day course guided by world-renowed expert in tourism security, Dr. Peter Tarlow. The 3-day course is aimed especially at those who are either directly or indirectly involved with the safety of tourists and the community at large on a daily basis. For the participants this is a great opportunity to further develop their skills and learn how to handle certain safety aspects. Dr. Tarlow has a lot of experience in the area of tourism security. He was in charge of the training of security personel for the Vancouver and also the Brazil Olympic games.

The CTB also coordinated a number of tourism safety & security courses in years past, which were very well received by all participants. This year, the participants include representatives of the Avila Beach Hotel, Renaissance Curaçao Resort & Casino, Sunscape Curaçao Resort Spa & Casino, Papagayo Curaçao, Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort Curaçao, the Curaçao Ports Authority, the Curaçao Victim Support Foundation, the Curaçao Ambulance Service, the Curaçao Police Force, Budget Rent-a-Car Curaçao, Luxury Car Rental, Sinusta Taxi Curaçao, Thirty Steps, the Consulates of the Netherlands, U.S. and Suriname, CHATA and the CTB.
